More chances to blast Xenomorphs.

Another video game based on the horror-s/f classic Alien is in the works, but very little is known about it at this early stage.

The game–according to a report in Insider Gaming–is currently being developed (the developer was not revealed) and is looking at a release date near the end of next year. The survival-horror game–codenamed Marathon–reportedly will be for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC.

The game, according to the report, will draw inspiration from the Dead Space and Resident Evil video game franchises. It is speculated that this new game may have something in common with Alien: Isolation, a 2015 first-person horror game set within the Alien universe.

In addition to this new game, Aliens: Dark Descent–announced at this year’s Summer Game Fest–is also slated for a 2023 debut. No details on this game have yet been provided, so stay tuned for announcements on both titles.
