Neve Campbell Says She Would Consider One More ‘Scream’

Sidney Prescott may still have some unfinished business with Ghostface.

As all horror fans know by now, Neve Campbell reportedly turned down an offer she felt was unfair and will not return for Scream 6, but that door may yet be open a crack. Somewhere down the road.

Campbell–in a recent interview with ET–admitted she’s “not just done with the chapter. I care about the movies.” She even added that “if they were to come to me with an amount that felt in keeping with…the value that I bring them, I would certainly consider it.”

The longtime final girl also said, “I care about these new directors. They did such a great job on the last one, and I wish them luck.”

Those directors she referred to–Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett–are returning for the next installment, along with screenwriters James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick.

The cast of Scream 6–filming now for its March 31, 2023 theatrical release–includes veterans Hayden Panettiere, Courteney Cox, Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding and Jenna Ortega, along with newcomers Dermot Mulroney, Jack Champion, Liana Liberato, Devyn Nekoda, Josh Segarra and Henry Czerny.

The film–according to the short synopsis–follows “the four survivors of the Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.” And that chapter reportedly will play out in New York City. Bright lights, tall buildings and plenty of victims for Ghostface.
