Netflix Vampire Series ‘First Kill’ Drops Bloody Trailer

Now this is taking teen angst to a whole new level.

First Kill–a different kind of vampire-love story mashup–hits Netflix next month, and the first trailer dropped this week as a follow-up to the images released just last week. Check out the video–courtesy of collider.com–on this page.

The eight-episode series–which kicks off on Netflix June 10–is adapted by Victoria Schwab from her short story of the same name, who wrote the episodes along with showrunner Felicia D. Henderson (The Punisher). Emma Roberts (American Horror Story) serves as executive producer.

The storyline follows teenage vampire Juliette (Sarah Catherine Hook), who is out to “make her first kill so she can take her place among the members of her powerful vampire family,” according to the synopsis.

Juliette sets her sights on a new girl in town, Calliope (Imani Lewis), but problems arise. Not only are the girls attracted to each other, but Calliope turns out to be a vampire hunter. They both come to the conclusion that “the other won’t be so easy to kill and, unfortunately, way too easy to fall for.”

The series also features Elizabeth Mitchell, Aubin Wise, Gracie Dzienny, Dominic Goodman, Phillip Mullings Jr. and Jason Moore.
