Netflix Streams Original Korean Zombie Series

With a title like All Of Us Are Dead, what’s not to like about the new Netflix offering?

The streamer announced plans to produce the new show, described by Deadline as a series based on a popular Korean zombie webtoon Now At Our School.

Netflix will work hand-in-hand with Lee JQ (Beethoven Virus and Intimate Strangers) to bring the new show to audiences worldwide.

The storyline centers around a group of high school students who become trapped in their own school during a horrific outbreak of a (you guessed it) zombie virus.

Deadline said the webtoon has been a big hit in Korea, as well as Indonesia, Thailand and Taiwan, where digital comics have been very successful.

The original series is written by Chun Sung-il and directed by Lee JQ and Kim Nam-su. It’s produced by JTBC Studios, in association with Film Monster.

No timeline for the debut of the series was provided at this time by Netflix.

Korea has had a good recent track record with zombie productions. The 2016 movie Train To Busan was well received by critics and fans alike.

And Netflix has a solid link with the country, having recently ordered The School Nurse Files and Extracurricular from Korea.
