Well, that really bites.
First Kill–a teen vampire series that debuted on Netflix in June–will not be back for a second season, according to a report on Deadline.
The show–adapted by Victoria Schwab and showrunner Felicia D. Henderson from Schwab’s short story–was produced by Emma Roberts of American Horror Story fame.
First Kill deals with teenager vampire Juliette (Sarah Catherine Hook), who is looking to “make her first kill so she can take her place among the members of her powerful vampire family,” according to the synopsis.
So, Juliette takes aim on the new girl in town, Calliope (Imani Lewis), but the situation quickly gets sticky. Not only are the girls attracted to each other, but Calliope just happens to be a vampire hunter. True teenage angst.
The short-lived show also stars Elizabeth Mitchell, Aubin Wise, Gracie Dzienny, Dominic Goodman, Phillip Mullings Jr. and Jason Moore.
