by Thomas Tuna

The full-color debut for Herman, Lily and the gang is only a month away.

Netflix announced this week that The Munsters–Rob Zombie’s feature film remake of the ’60s TV series–will start streaming Sept. 27–the same day the film is available on Blu-ray and VOD.

The PG-rated film–which serves as a sort of origin tale for the monstrous clan–is billed as “the greatest love story ever told” and takes a look back at Herman and Lily’s courtship.

The Munsters stars Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily and Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa–with original TV cast members Pat Priest and Butch Patrick appearing in the film.

The rest of the ensemble includes Richard Brake, Sylvester McCoy, Jorge Garcia, Cassandra Peterson, Catherine Schell, Tomas Boykin, Jeremy Wheeler and Dee Wallace.
