Netflix Reveals Details On Next Season Of ‘Black Mirror’

Take a look in the mirror–if you dare.

Black Mirror–the Netflix horror-fantasy anthology series–heads into its sixth season next month (stay tuned for an exact date), and more details on the new episodes have dropped. And check out the teaser images–courtesy of Entertainment Weekly—on this page.

The show–led by creator/writer Charlie Brooker–“taps into everyone’s unease with the modern world,” according to the logline. Each standalone episode “explores themes of contemporary techno-paranoia–leading to an unsettling conclusion.”

The Season 6 episodes are as follows:

Joan Is Awful–directed by Ally Pankiw–follows a woman who discovers a global streaming platform has launched a TV drama adaptation of her life.

Loch Henry–directed by Sam Miller–deals with a young couple who travel to a Scottish towen to work on a documentary, but find themselves drawn to a juicy local story that involves shocking events from the past.

* Beyond the Sea–directed by John Crowley–takes place in an alternate 1969, where two men on a perilous hi-tech mission wrestle with the consequences of an unimaginable tragedy.

Mazey Day–directed by Uta Briesewitz–follows a troubled starlet who’s dogged by paparazzi while dealing with the consequences of a hit-and-run accident.

Demon 79–directed by Toby Haynes–takes place in northern England in 1979, where a meek sales assistant is told she must commit terrible acts to prevent disaster.
