“Scooby Doobie Doooo!”

More Scooby will be heading your way soon as Deadline is reporting that Netflix has landed Scooby-Doo! The Live-Action Series, from Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television. The series will be written by Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg and will be a live-action update of the cartoon.

Created by Joe Ruby and Ken Spears, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! debuted on September 13, 1969 with the episode What a Night for a Knight. The show featured a voice cast that consisted of Don Messick, Casey Kasem, Frank Welker, Stefanianna Christopherson and Nicole Jaffe.

The show became a smash hit and led Hanna-Barbera to create series which were similar in concept including The Funky Phantom and Goober and the Ghost Chasers.  In 2013, TV Guide ranked Scooby-Doo the fifth-greatest TV cartoon of all time.

At the time of this writing there has been no speculative release date announced. Stay tuned to Horror News Network for more news as it develops!
