Bird Box Barcelona–an offshoot of the 2018 Netflix horror hit Bird Box–debuts next month, and a new clip has arrived to tease the terrors on tap. Check out the video here.
The Spanish-language film–hitting Netflix July 14–is written and directed by Alex and David Pastor, and stars Mario Casas, Georgina Campbell, Diego Calva, Alejandra Howard, Naila Schuberth, Patrick Criado and Celia Freijeiro.
The feature takes place “after a mysterious force decimates the world’s population by causing all who see it to take their own lives.” In this world, Sebastian and his young daughter Anna must “navigate their own journey of survival through the desolate streets.”
But, as they form an uneasy alliance with other survivors and travel to a safe haven, “a threat more sinister that the unseen creatures grows.”
The original Bird Box--directed by Susanne Bier from a screenplay by Eric Heisserer–stars Sandra Bullock as Malorie Hayes, a woman who tries to protect herself and two children from creatures that cause people who look at them to kill themselves.
