More R.L. Stine thrills and chills will hit Netflix this Friday as the second chapter in the Fear Street trilogy graces the small screen.
The trilogy–based on Stine’s popular YA horror novel series that started back in 1989–began last week with Fear Street Part One: 1984, and will continue this Friday, July 9 with Fear Street Part Two: 1978, as reported by comingsoon.net. A full trailer for this next installment can be viewed below.
The R-rated series follows teenage friends who run across an ancient evil responsible for a string of brutal murders that have plagued their town of Shadyside for more than 300 years.
The second part of the trilogy is set during the summer of 1978, when Camp Nightwing is gearing up for the season. But when another local resident is possessed with the urge to kill, funtime turns into a gruesome battle for survival.

Fear Street Part Three: 1666–which sees history come full circle during an evening that changes the lives of Shadyside residents forever–debuts on Netflix July 16.
