Netflix Drops Full Trailer For ‘The Witcher: Blood Origin’

Will a Witcher fit under your Christmas tree?

The Witcher: Blood Origin–the four-episode prequel series to the popular The Witcher–lands on Netflix Dec. 25, and the first full trailer is now here. Check out the exciting video on this page.

The new series–from showrunner Declan de Barra and executive producers Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and Matt O’Toole–is set in an Elven world some 1,200 years before the parent show.

Blood Origin relates the story behind the first Witcher and the events that led to “the pivotal conjunction of the spheres–when the worlds of monsters, men and Elves merged to become one,” according to the synopsis.

The series–directed by Sarah O’Gorman and Vicky Jewson–stars Michelle Yeoh, Jacob Collins-Levy, Sophia Brown and Laurence O’Fuarain.

Blood Origin is based on the series of novels by Andrzej Sapkowski, who serves as a creative consultant for the show. “It’s exciting that the world of The Witcher is expanding–as planned from the beginning,” he said.
