Netflix Drops Full Trailer For Final Season Of ‘Lucifer’

Is he the Devil…or God? Only the final season of Lucifer on Netflix holds the answer.

Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait too long for that answer. The sixth and final season of the popular horror/fantasy series kicks off Sept. 10, as reported by comicbook.com, and a full, tantalizing trailer for the show can be viewed on this page.

As fans will recall, Season 5 wrapped up with Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) taking over as God, but, as might be expected, he’s having a little trouble adjusting to his new divine role. The sixth season is officially explained this way: “This is it–the final season of Lucifer. The Devil himself has become God…almost. Why is he hesitating? And, as the world starts to unravel without a God, what will he do in response?”

The 10-episode final season–led by showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson–starts with a chapter called Nothing Ever Changes Around Here. Given the first five seasons of the show, that seems hard to swallow.

The series began when Lucifer, the Lord of Hell, became bored with his life and took off for Los Angeles, opened a nightclub called Lux and started consulting with the LAPD. And things got weird from there. The show stars Ellis, Lauren German, D.B. Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Scarlett Estevez, Rachel Harris, Merrin Dungey and Brianna Hildebrand.
