Fester is here!
The official trailer for Wednesday–the Netflix series based on the ’60s TV classic The Addams Family–arrived at New York Comic Con this weekend–with two important reveals. Check out the video on this page.
The trailer affords a more extensive peek at the Addams daughter in survival mode at Nevermore Academy, and introduces the familiar face and figure of Uncle Fester (played by comedian Fred Armisen), as well as Christina Ricci (who played Wednesday on the big screen), appearing in a cameo as Marilyn Thornhill.
Wednesday–led by executive producer and director Tim Burton and showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar–hits Netflix Nov. 23.
The series stars Jenna Ortega in the titular role–along with Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzman as Gomez, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley, George Burcea as Lurch and Victor Dorobantu as the disembodied (and very handy) Thing.
The show follows Wednesday as she enters Nevermore Academy and “attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago,” according to the synopsis.
