Time to go back to the beginning.

First Omen–the planned prequel to the 1976 horror hit The Omen–has signed its lead, according to a report on Deadline.

Nell Tiger Free–best known for her roles in Servant and Game of Thrones–will headline the cast of the 20th Century feature. No other casting choices or plot details have been revealed at this time.

Arkasha Stevenson will make her feature film directing debut on the prequel, and will co-write the screenplay with Tim Smith–who will also act as executive producer.

David S. Goyer and Keith Levine are on board as producers, with Gracie Wheelan overseeing for the production label, Phantom Four.

The Omen–directed by Richard Donner from a screenplay by David Seltzer–stars Gregory Peck and Lee Remick, and follows an American ambassador who believes his five-year-old son is the Antichrist.

The film gave birth to three sequels–Damien: Omen II (1978), Omen III: The Final Conflict (1981) and Omen IV: The Awakening (1991)–as well as a 2006 reboot that stars Liev Schreiber and Julia Stiles.
