NECA Unveils Glow-In-The-Dark Phantom Of The Opera Figure

by Thomas Tuna

The Man of a Thousand Faces sports a new look.

NECA will showcase a brand-new glow-in-the-dark Phantom of the Opera collectible at next month’s New York Comic Con. Check out photos of the figure–courtesy of Toyark–on this page.

The $30 seven-inch figure–which doesn’t yet have a release window–is based on the iconic character created by Lon Chaney in the 1925 silent movie. The collectible glows eerily in the dark and comes in a retro-style blister card package.

The Phantom of the Opera–adapted from Gaston Leroux’s 1910 novel Le Fantome de l’Opera–is directed by Robert Julian, and stars Chaney, Mary Philbin and Norman Kerry.

The classic storyline follows Chaney as the deformed Phantom who haunts the Paris Opera House–bringing murder and mayhem as he tries to make the woman he loves into a star.
