Elvira has always been a living doll–but now, she is so much more.
NECA this week rolled out its first collectible in its “31 Nights of Fright” collection–celebrating the October days leading up to Halloween–and the figure is none other than Cassandra Peterson’s sultry and sexy alter ego Elvira, as reported by news.toyark.com. Check out the photos on this page to see if they truly captured the horror host’s eerie essence.
The fully articulated Elvira: Mistress of the Dark eight-inch scale clothed figure includes two interchangeable portraits (one with a devilish wink), her signature dagger, a skull candle holder and a goblet.
The vampy and campy figure–with a price point around $37.99–will release sometime in the first quarter of 2022. Pre-orders at Entertainment Earth have already gone live.
Peterson last month celebrated her 40th anniversary in Elvira’s slinky black dress by hosting a slate of ghoulish goodies on Shudder, as reported here in Horror News Network. “It’s always tough turning 40,” the hostess-with-the-mostest said. “But what better way to mark the occasion than a one-night stand with Shudder?”
The spotlight found Peterson back in 1981 when Los Angeles television station KHJ-TV hired her to host Elvira’s Movie Macabre, a weekly B-movie event. It didn’t take long for her captivating persona to evolve from a cult figure to a lucrative brand–hawking everything from Halloween costumes to perfume.
