NECA Unveils Black-And-White Dracula Carfax Abbey Figure

by Thomas Tuna

The count will see you now.

NECA will debut a new black-and-white Universal Monsters Ultimate Dracula Carfax Abbey figure next month. Check out the photos of the collectible–courtesy of Toyark–on this page.

The seven-inch figure–which ships in February–is available for pre-orders now for $34.99 from Entertainment Earth and Big Bad Toy Store.

The figure comes complete with a replica of the formal tuxedo Bela Lugosi wore at Carfax Abbey in the 1931 horror classic–in addition to a removable cape, top hat, cane, flight stand and even a bat. There are also three interchangeable hands and heads, and an additional neck piece that makes the figure compatible with the heads from the previous color version.

The original Dracula–directed by Tod Browning from a screenplay by Garrett Fort–stars Lugosi in his most iconic role. In the film–based on the 1924 stage play that drew from Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel–the vampire Dracula emigrates from Transylvania to England (just in case you’ve been living deep in a cave the last 90 years) and preys upon the blood of his victims–including a young man’s fiancee.
