From the popular video game straight to your display shelf, Joel and Ellie are ready for action.
As part of its 31 Nights of Fright collection, NECA this week unveiled two new seven-inch scale action figures of Joel and Ellie from Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II horror video game, as reported by news.toyark.com. Check out the photos on this page for a preview of the collectibles.
The Ultimate Joel and Ellie two-pack comes complete with interchangeable hands, guns and other assorted weapons. The set–priced at $75–is slated for a March 2022 release. Collectors can pre-order the set from Entertainment Earth.
Each figure has more than 30 points of articulation and comes with an array of screen-accurate accessories, including an axe, machetes, rifles, pistols, backpacks and bows and arrows.
The set includes a figure of Ellie–who has a mysterious immunity to the zombie infection–and Joel–the smuggler-turned-father figure who was originally tasked with escorting Ellie across a post-apocalyptic America in the first video game.
The Last of Us Part II–set five years after the original The Last of Us game–is played from a third-person perspective and allows players to fight human enemies and cannibalistic zombies with firearms, improvised weapons and stealth. One of the best-selling PlayStation 4 games, it holds the record for most Game of the Year Awards.
