Be patient. Chucky is coming. He always does.

The life-size Chucky doll from NECA–based on 1998’s Bride of Chucky–reportedly is still being tweaked, according to news.toyark.com, but is expected to hit stores early next year. NECA in a statement said that “due to history-making delays in shipping and other factors, we regret to confirm that fulfillment has been pushed back to early 2022.”

The eerie doll–originally offered back in 2019–boasts inner articulated armature for easy posing, life-like eyes, synthetic hair and tailored fabric clothing. The price tag? A hefty $459.99. Check out the photos on this page.

This Chucky doll–standing 30 inches tall–is modeled after its on-screen appearance and has been “exactingly duplicated from measurements and references from puppeteers who worked on the film to be the most screen-accurate representation available,” according to the official description.

Bride of Chucky–directed by Ronny Yu from a screenplay by Don Mancini–was the fourth installment in the Child’s Play franchise. Starting Brad Dourif (voicing Chucky) and Jennifer Tilly (voicing Tiffany), the film received mixed reviews and grossed $51 million worldwide on a budget of $25 million.

The Syfy and USA Chucky TV series debuted earlier this month, so keep reading Horror News Network for all updates on Chucky–as a collectible, as well as on the big and small screen.
