Awesome news out of Hollywood as one of my favorite Game of Thrones characters has been cast in an upcoming horror film. Nathalie Emmanuel, who played Missandei – the handmaiden and advisor to Daenerys Targaryen, will star in The Bride: “a contemporary horror thriller that tells the story of a young woman who is courted and swept off her feet, only to realize a gothic conspiracy is afoot”, according to Deadline.
Based on a script from Blair Butler, the film is also set to star Garrett Hedlund (Tron: Legacy) and will be directed for Screen Gems by Jessica M. Thompson (The Light of the Moon).
Hoping that The Bride will turn into a franchise, since Dracula is a hot commodity right now, the film has been put on the fast track and earmarked for an end-of-summer 2021 release.
Stay tuned for more news about The Bride as it comes available.
