My Animal–a horror-romance that has completed its festival circuit–will now hit theaters next month. Check out the seductive trailer on this page.
The film–from first-time director Jacqueline Castel and screenwriter Jae Matthews–will release on the big screen Sept. 8, and then hit digital Sept. 15.
Set in a small northern town, the feature follows Heather (Bobbi Salvor Menuez), “an outcast teenage hockey goalie who falls for the town’s newcomer (Amandla Stenberg), an alluring–but tormented–figure skater.”
As their relationship grows, Heather’s growing desires “clash with her darkest secret–forcing her to control the animal within.”
