What did sharks eat before people started scuba diving?
Principal photography started this week on The Last Breath, another shark thriller that’s being shopped around by Metro International Entertainment, according to a report on Deadline. Check out the film’s first-look image on this page.
The feature–directed by Joachim Heden (Breaking Surface) from a screenplay by Nick Saltrese (Prayer Before Dawn)–is shooting now in Antwerp, Belgium, and will move on to Malta next month. No release window has been announced.
The survival thriller follows five college friends “who go scuba diving into a recently uncovered WWII shipwreck in the British Virgin Islands,” according to the synopsis. While there (surprise, surprise), they find themselves “trapped by great white sharks.”
The Last Breath stars Jack Parr (Peaky Blinders), Kim Spearman (As I Am), Julian Sands (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and Erin Mullen. Producers include Andrew Prendergast and Chris Reed.
