Even after all these years, Freddy Krueger still has plenty to say.
Mezco Toys is adding a talking Freddy Krueger figure to its popular MDS Mega Scale line, according to the company’s website. Mezco has unveiled Mega Scale figures from other horror franchises, but this will be the first entry from A Nightmare on Elm Street.
The new 15-inch figure–with 11 points of articulation–spouts five different phrases, including the chilling, “You think you can get away from me?” The figure–complete with a sculpt of the dream demon’s iconic head and glove–comes in a collector-friendly window box that’s perfect for displaying. Priced at $98, Freddy will be ready for shipping in September.
A Nightmare on Elm Street–Wes Craven’s 1984 horror masterpiece–has spawned several sequels, a TV series and comic books. The original was rebooted by Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes in 2010, and Elijah Wood recently expressed interest in yet another remake of the classic.
