Columbia is putting together it’s cast for the female-focused reboot of ‘Ghostbusters’. Melissa McCarthy is in talks to possibly play a lead role in the film however her complicated schedule may not allow her time for it. It is yet to be seen if she will join the cast. Paul Feig, director of ‘The Heat’ and “Bridesmades’ is attached to ‘Ghostbusters’ as well. The reboot will be a new origin story of women who take up ghostbusting, and not a direct rehashing of the original 1984 ‘Ghostbusters’ film. There are rumors that Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone are actresses of interest for the roles in the film. Rebel Wilson said she met with producer Ivan Reitman about the film while promoting ‘Night at the Museum 3’ in December.
