The film–which premiered at the Fantasia International Film Festival–will hit the big screen Sept. 8. Directed by Karim Ouelhaj, the movie stars Eline Schumacher, Wim Willaert, Benjamin Ramon, Pierre Nisse and Raphaelle Lubansu.
Megalomaniac follows Martha and Felix–the children of the 1990s Belgian serial killer known as the Butcher of Mons. Martha lives vicariously through social media, but Felix is “crushed by the family legacy and takes over his father’s murderous ways.”
Martha–harassed and attacked at work–“falls into madness and into the strange and terrifying world inhabited by her brother.”
