You’re gonna need a bigger living room.
Meg 2: The Trench–the follow-up to the 2018 shark thriller–has taken a big bite out of the global box office market, and now it’s available for home viewing.
The PG-13 feature–directed by Ben Wheatley from a screenplay by Dean Georgaris and Jon Hoebler–can now be rented ($20) or purchased ($25) on-demand, and will also arrive on Blu-ray Oct. 24.
The special features for both the digital and physical releases include The Making of Meg 2: The Trench, with comments from the cast and crew as they revisit the film; and Up From the Depths: Even More Beasts, with Wheatley and the film’s producers guiding fans through the creation of the movie’s new creatures.
In Meg 2, Jonas Taylor (the returning Jason Statham) leads a research team on an exploratory dive that “spirals into chaos when a malevolent mining operation forces them into a battle for survival. Pitted against prehistoric sharks, they must outsmart and outswim their merciless predators.”
