The next dose of Anne Rice horror is almost here.

Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches–the latest AMC adaptation of the late horror author’s novels–follows on the heels of Interview with the Vampire, and will debut Jan. 8, 2023. Check out the new trailer on this page.

The clip affords horror fans a good look at Alexandra Daddario as Rowan Fielding, the young neurosurgeon at the center of the tale.

Fielding discovers she is “the unlikely heir to a family of witches,” according to the synopsis. And, as she struggles with her newfound powers, she must also contend with “a sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations.”

The show’s eight-episode first season–adapted from Rice’s Lives of the Mayfair Witches trilogy–comes from executive producers and screenwriters Esta Spalding and Michelle Ashford.

Mayfair Witches also stars Harry Hamlin as family patriarch Cortland Mayfair; Jack Huston as Lasher, a shapeshifting entity who’s been bound to the witches for centuries; Annabeth Gish as Diedre; Beth Grant as Carlotta; Erica Gimpel as Ellie; Jen Richards as Jojo; and Tongayi Chirisa as Ciprien.
