There really is a monster under the bed.
Mads Mikkelsen–known to genre fans for his roles in Hannibal and Doctor Strange–will star in the new horror pic Dust Bunny that will be introduced to buyers at the American Film Market, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film–written, directed and produced by Hannibal creator Bryan Fuller, along with Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee–is expected to start production in January 2023.
Dust Bunny tells the story of an eight-year-old girl who asks her neighbor to help her “kill the monster under her bed that she believes ate her family,” according to the synopsis.
Co-producer Lee called the film “incredibly inventive and unlike anything in the marketplace. We are thrilled to help Bryan bring his first feature to life.”
