M3GAN–the box office sensation from Blumhouse Productions and Atomic Monster–is now available for PVOD rental or purchase, according to a report on Collider. Horror fans can rent the film for $19.99 or buy a digital copy outright for $24.99.

The feature–still playing in theaters everywhere–has been the first horror hit of the year, placing in the top three films at the domestic box office in its first three weekends. Globally, the feature has pulled in more than $120 million to date.

With all this success, it’s no surprise that a sequel–M3GAN 2.0–is in the works, with returning screenwriter Akela Cooper and stars Allison Williams and Violet McGraw. The sequel–produced again by James Wan and Jason Blum–is slated for a Jan. 17, 2025 theatrical release.

M3GAN follows Gemma (Williams), a toy company roboticist who creates M3GAN (Model 3 Generative Android)–an eerily lifelike doll designed to be “a child’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally,” according to the synopsis.

The terror starts when Gemma gets custody of her eight-year-old orphaned niece Cady (McGraw), and the android become increasingly more independent and violent towards anyone who poses a threat to Cady.
