“The Lost Boys” Television Show Pushed Back

by Larry Dwyer

Back in August, we reported that the CW network had a television adaptation of famed vampire film The Lost Boys in the works (read it here); now the network announces that it will be pushed back to the next development cycle according to The Hollywood Reporter.

While the Rob Thomas (iZombie) helmed version of the vampire tale is still in the future for the network, they simply don’t have the space on their packed schedule to get it going this season. Rumor has it that network brass is still excited for the project that was pitched as a seven-season anthology spanning seven decades in the life of the main cast of vampires with each season covering a different decade; Season One will be based in San Francisco during the 1960’s hippie movement.

The Hollywood Reporter also notes that CW has a Charmed reboot in the works as well that was also pushed back to the next development cycle.
