Based on the comic series created by Joe Hill, son of legendary author Stephen King, Locke & Key ran for eight story arcs from February 2008 until December 2013.

After the series failed to materialize as a franchise of films, there were pilots made for 20th Century Fox Television and Hulu which eventually were dropped and shopped around until it found a home at Netflix.

The story follows three siblings who move to their ancestral home in Massachusetts after the gruesome murder of their father.
