Wanna take a peek inside Chucky’s head?

Living with Chucky–a new documentary that explores the Child’s Play film franchise “through a personal and social perspective”–will screen at FrightFest in the UK later this month, according to a report on ScreenDaily.

Yellow Veil Pictures has snapped up the worldwide sales rights to the film, which is directed by Kyra Elise Gardner, the daughter of Tony Gardner–the chief puppeteer for the bulk of the classic horror franchise.

The documentary uses “new and archival footage to explore the franchise’s cultural impact over the years,” according to the logline. Interviews with such Child’s Play luminaries as Don Mancini, Brad Dourif, Jennifer Tilly and David Kirshner will be included.

In addition, celebrity fans of the franchise–including Marlon Wayans, John Waters and Abigail Breslin–will comment on the films and their impact.

Yellow Veil’s Joe Yanick called the documentary “an essential look at the impact and longevity of the Child’s Play series. It’s a family effort that will appeal to a diverse and sprawling fan base.”
