Linda Hamilton On Board For ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5

Stranger Things will “terminate” with Linda Hamilton.

There’s still no word about when production will start on the fifth and final season of the Netflix hit Stranger Things–due to the ongoing Writers Guild of American strike–but the cast grew by one impressive member this week, according to a report on Deadline.

Linda Hamilton–best known for his genre roles as Sarah Connor in the Terminator franchise and as Catherine Chandler in the Beauty and the Beast TV series–has signed on for the upcoming season. No details have yet been announced as to Hamilton’s role on the show.

The final season’s scripts reportedly have been written, but the Aug. 2 production start has been postponed, with no new shooting date announced and no Netflix debut in the offing.

What is known, thanks to a tease from show creators and writers Matt and Ross Duffer, is that the Season 5 opening episode is titled The Crawl.

The final chapter is expected to pick up from the Season 4 ending that saw Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and the crew defeated by Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower)–and the door to The Upside Down being opened.
