Ready to learn more about the Upside Down?

Fans of Stranger Things–the hit Netflix horror-fantasy series–are waiting impatiently for the fifth and final season to debut. And, while that day won’t likely arrive until 2024, some crumbs recently fell off the table.

The official Stranger Things Twitter account has revealed the script cover and episode title for the Season 5 premiere. Check out the image on this page that shows the cover page and title, Chapter One: The Crawl. The episode, as may be expected, is written by series creators Matt and Ross Duffer.

No other clues were dropped about what The Crawl may have in store for the familiar cast of characters, but the writers for the fifth season has been working away since August. The season, as promised, will start going “100 miles an hour from the beginning.”

Giving some insight into the season ahead, the Duffer Brothers told Collider that Season 5 will be spent largely in Hawkins and the Upside Down’s mirror universe. In fact, the final episodes are expected to finally explain what the Upside Down is. “The big reveals coming in Season 5 are really about the Upside Down itself,” Ross Duffer added.

The final season of Stranger Things is expected to start filming sometime in 2023 (stay tuned for an exact date), with no word given as to when fans can expect the show to restart. But sometime in 2024, at the earliest, seems to be the best guess.

The show stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Fink, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Natalia Dyer, Maya Hawke, Joe Keery, Charlie Heaton, Cara Buono, Priah Ferguson and Jamie Campbell Boxer. As always, look for guest stars to pop up.
