The “right one” is coming in October.
Let the Right One In–a different kind of vampire tale–is now set for its debut on Showtime Oct. 9, and a teaser trailer was released this week. Check out the clip–courtesy of Broadway World–on this page.
The 10-episode series–from creator and showrunner Andrew Hinderaker–is inspired by the 2004 novel by John Ajvide Lindqvist. Seith Mann directed the pilot and some additional episodes, and Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements and Alissa Bachner served as executive producers.
The show follows Mark (Demian Bichir) and his daughter Eleanor (Madison Taylor Baez), “whose lives were changed forever 10 years earlier when she was turned into a vampire,” according to the logline.
Stuck forever at age 12, Eleanor lives a “closed-in life–able to go out only at night–while her father does his best to provide her with the human blood she needs to stay alive.”
The series also stars Jimmie Saito, Josh Wingate, Caroline Neff, Zeljko Ivanek, Fernanda Andrade, Nick Stahl, Grace Gummer, Anika Noni Rose, Kevin Carroll, Ian Foreman and Jacob Buster.
