A new teaser for Evil Dead Rise has dropped just days after another clip from the latest entry in the horror franchise was released–and this one touts some of the film’s strong reviews, as well as star Alyssa Sutherland’s Deadite transformation. Check out the bloody clip on this page.

The new horror pic–written and directed by Lee Cronin–hits theaters April 21. The film’s producer (and longtime star) Bruce Campbell called the feature “very serious, very gory. It’s not going to have too many laughs–other than uncomfortable laughs.”
Evil Dead Rise follows Beth (Lily Sullivan) as she visits her older sister Ellie (Sutherland) in Los Angeles. But they soon discover a mysterious book that will unleash an army of demons that forces Beth to fight for her very survival–as she faces “the most nightmarish version of motherhood imaginable,” according to the synopsis.
Joining Sullivan and Sutherland in the cast are Gabrielle Echols, Morgan Davies, Nell Fisher, Mia Challis and Tai Wano.
