Don’t they make a lovely couple?
The news is coming fast and furious for Joker: Folie a Deux–the sequel to the 2019 box office smash. Just yesterday, the Oct. 4, 2024 release date was announced, and now Lady Gaga has confirmed that news and her role as Harley Quinn.
Check out Gaga’s Twitter post of a very brief teaser–courtesy of Screen Rant–that shows images of her and star Joaquin Phoenix locked in a dance step.

The film–reportedly on pace for a production start this December–will again be directed by Todd Phillips, who will write the screenplay with Scott Silver.
Not much is known about the storyline–except that some of the film reportedly will be set in Arkham Asylum, where Gaga’s Quinn character works as a psychiatrist.
The original Joker–starring Phoenix, Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz and Frances Conroy–follows failed clown and aspiring stand-up comedian Arthur Fleck (Phoenix), whose descent into insanity leads him to the persona of the Joker. The film became the first R-rated movie to earn more than $1 billion at the box office.
