Killer Statue Of Ghostface Looms On The Horizon

by Thomas Tuna

Ain’t this a scream? Collectors can look forward to adding Ghostface to their shelves.

A new lifelike 1/3-scale replica of the Scream slasher is coming from Sideshow Collectibles and Premium Collectibles Studio (even if the official name of the statue is Ghost Face, due to licensing parameters). But what’s in a name? Check out the photos of the impressive statue–courtesy of–on this page.

Pre-orders for the 29 1/2-inch tall statue set on a diorama base are now active. The collectible is draped in its signature black cloak, wears its iconic white mask and comes with (naturally) a knife. Priced at $1,355, the statue will ship between May and July of next year.

In addition, an Exclusive Edition of Ghostface is available that comes with a swap-out bloody mask and swap-out bloody knife. This beauty will set you back $1,385.

Ghostface, of course, first slashed his way into horror annals in 1996’s Scream–the classic film directed by Wes Craven from a screenplay by Kevin Williamson. The original story follows high school student Sidney Prescott as she is stalked by the murderous Ghostface.

Credited with revitalizing the slasher genre, Scream was a hit with fans and critics, earning $173 million on a $15-million budget. And making Ghostface a household name.
