Kevin Bacon Confirms Syfy’s ‘Tremors’ Series Will Not Move Forward

by John Evans

Kevin Bacon shared some bad news this weekend for all of the Tremors fans out there who were excited about his upcoming television series based on the franchise: Syfy has decided to pass on the series- which was set to take place 25 years after the events of the original film- after a pilot episode was produced. Bacon took to his Instagram account to explain the news to his fans:

Bacon’s classy, funny, and professional response to the sad news reveals that he was legitimately excited about the project; and, hopefully, he will have another chance at returning to the world of Tremors sometime in the future. Fans of the series who are happy to settle with a Bacon-less Tremors can look forward to the release of Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell, a direct-to-video sequel starring Jamie Kennedy, which releases on May 1st.

Stay tuned to Horror News Network for more details on all Tremors projects as they break!
