Josh Brolin Set To Replace Pedro Pascal In ‘Weapons’

by Thomas Tuna

Who knows what lies behind the facade of a sleepy small town?

Pedro Pascal–a very busy actor nowadays–last month was forced to leave the next horror pic from writer/director Zach Cregger (Barbarian), but his replacement reportedly is now in place, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Josh Brolin (Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe) is in final negotiations to star in Weapons from New Line Cinema–stepping in for Pascal, who is tied up with Season 2 of the HBO hit series The Last of Us and portraying Reed Richards in the upcoming Fantastic Four feature.

Weapons–co-staring Renate Reinsve–does not yet have a release window. Little is known about the film’s storyline, but it’s said to deal with the disappearance of high school students in a small town, and be in the vein of Magnolia.

The movie is produced by Cregger, Roy Lee, J.D. Lifshitz, Raphael Margules and Miri Yoon.
