Home is where the horror is.
Jenna Ortega fans may not be able enjoy her performance in the next (currently troubled) Scream installment, but Season 2 of her hit Wednesday series and the upcoming Beetlejuice sequel are on the way–and listening to recent comments from the young actor, that’s just the beginning.
Ortega–during an interview with People–said “horror is everything to me. I would do horror until I die. It’s the best.”
Adding that the horror genre will “always be home,” Ortega explained that she loves horror films “because they encapsulate everything. They can be romantic, funny, dramatic and scary. They’re adrenaline-inducing, and they ignite passion in people.”
What about when she’s not starring in a genre pic? “I try to watch as much as I can,” Ortega said, “which is wonderful because movies are my favorite thing in the world. And I get to call that homework. There’s just something really beautiful and profound about horror.”
As for when horror fans can next see Ortega on the small and big screen, the second season of Wednesday is expected to start production in April (with no definite Netflix debut date set), and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice hits theaters Sept. 6.
