| Oscar-winner Javier Bardem is closing in on a starring role in The Dark Tower, with Deadline reporting he’s almost a lock for the part of gunslinger Roland Deschain. Signing on to The Dark Tower would be a major commitment for the new dad who will have to, in addition to starring in at least one of the three movies in the works, take on the role in the first part of the TV series based on the Stephen King books.
