Jaime Lee Kirchner (Mercy) has been cast in the CW’s upcoming pilot ‘Dead People’. She joins Andrew J. West (The Walking Dead) Alexandra Chando (The Lying Game), and will star as the female lead, opposite West. The supernatural drama is about a cab driver named Floyd (West) who has a near death experience and gains the ability to see ghosts,including his deceased ex-wife Pearl (Chando), whom he has never gotten over and must now help him move on with his life. Kirchner is cast as a talented no-nonsense cop named Charly, who, although she thinks Floyd is a nut case in the beginning, realizes that he is being truthful and it could very well be helpful to their police work. Tom Kapinos (Californication) is writing and producing, along with Warner Bros. TV, Bad Robot’s Abrams and Byran Burke, as well as Kapinos’ Aggressive Mediocrity.
