Sink your teeth into a new season.
The much-anticipated second season of Interview with the Vampire–based on Anne Rice’s 1976 horror novel–now has a debut date on AMC, and it’s only three months away.
The eight-episode Season 2–led by showrunner Rolin Jones–kicks off May 12, and will be set in 2022, with the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) telling his bizarre life story to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian).
Louis’ tale will pick up in New Orleans in 1940, when the young vampire Claudia (Delainey Hayles) conspired to kill the vampire Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid). The story continues as Louis travels to Europe, winding up in Paris and the Theatre des Vampires with Claudia.
While in Paris, Louis meets the vampire Armand (Assad Zaman), and their relationship “proves to have devastating consequences both in the past and the future–as Molloy probes for the truths buried within Louis’ memories.”
Commenting on the new season’s twists and turns, Reid said “finding out more about Armand and his relationship with Louis is exciting. It’s a wild ride. People are in for a real treat.”
