‘Infested’ Crawls Onto Shudder Next Year After Festival Run

Oh, what a tangled web we weave…

Infested–a new creepy-crawly horror pic–will hit Fantastic Fest and the Venice Film Festival before streaming on Shudder next year, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film–originally titled Vermin–is the feature directorial debut for Sebastien Vanicek, who also wrote the screenplay with Florent Bernard. The cast includes Theo Christine, Finnegan Oldfield, Jerome Niel, Sofia Lesaffre and Lisa Nyarko.

In the feature, Kaleb is about to turn 30, and he’s fighting with his sister over their inheritance and has lost his best friend. Fascinated by exotic animals, he buys a venomous spider at a bazaar, but “it takes only a moment for the creature to escape and reproduce–turning his apartment into a dreadful web trap.”
