IFC Midnight Buys Rights to ‘The Hallow’

Deadline is reporting that IFC Midnight has bought the U.S. rights to horror film ‘The Hallow’ in a seven figure deal. The film is directed by Corin Hardy, produced by Joe Neurauter and Felipe Marino, and stars Joseph Mawle, Bojana Novakovic, Michael McElhatton and Michael Smiley. The tagline for the movie reads “A London-based conservationist is sent to Ireland to survey for construction an area of ancient forest believed by the superstitious locals to be hallowed ground. The locals aren’t wrong; a horde of demonic forces are unleashed, and horror ensues.” The film premiered at Sundance last Sunday at the Egyptian Theatre in the Midnight Section. Corin Hardy is also directing the upcoming remake of ‘The Crow’.
