Horror Pic ‘Baby Blue’ Slated For Release This Spring

Some dead reach from beyond the grave.

Baby Blue–a new supernatural horror entry from XYZ Films that’s set for a domestic release this spring–is being shopped to international distributors at the European Film Market, according to a report in Screen Daily.

The feature–directed by Adam Mason from a screenplay he wrote with Simon Boyes–follows a group of teens (why is it never senior citizens?) who unearths the story of a dead serial killer known as Baby Blue. And, when they make the killer the subject of a podcast, they soon learn that his murderous rampages never ended–and they are being targeted from the grave.

Baby Blue–filmed in Los Angeles–stars Dylan Sprayberry (Sick), Lia McHugh (Eternals), Michole Briana White (Malignant), Ally Ioannides (Synchronic), Cyrus Arnold (Mr. Harrigan’s Phone), Aramis Knight (Ms. Marvel), Oliver Cooper (Project X), Khylin Rhambo (47 Meters Down: Uncaged), Anthony Turpel (Play Dead), Sal Lopez (Return of the Living Dead III), Jorge-Luis Pallo (Cry Macho), Ellen Karsten (Just Add Magic) and Bries Vannon (Captive State).

Mason said he expects his horror film to be “the first of a large slate of crazy, highly commercial films. It’s been an absolute joy, and we have a strong inkling this will be just the start of an ongoing creative and business relationship.”
