Barbarian–the 2022 horror hit from Zach Cregger in his solo screen writing and directorial debut–will be adapted for a video game by Diversion3 Entertainment, according to Variety. No release window has yet been announced.

Diversion3–known for its horror video games based Friday the 13th and Evil Dead–is working with New Regency Pictures. The single-player game–being developed for consoles and PC–will deal with “characters and creatures” in Barbarian.

The Barbarian film stars Bill Skarsgard, Georgina Campbell and Justin Long in a story about a woman who finds out that the rental home she reserved has been double-booked by a man–not knowing about the dark secret within the house.

A box office success, Barbarian earned more than $45 million globally on a budget of less than $5 million.
