Story Kitchen is working on an animated TV series adaptation of the popular gothic horror video game Vampire Survivors, according to a report on Deadline.
The project–currently looking for a writer–will be shopped to various small-screen outlets. Game developer Luca Galante is involved in the creative process.
In the game–set in 2021 in rural Italy–players control an automatically attacking character while fighting against hordes of monsters–with the goal being to survive for as long as possible.
Bisconte Draculo wreaks havoc in this world, with his evil magics bringing on famine and suffering, according to the description. Now, it’s up to the members of the Belpaese family “to end his reign of terror and return good food to the table.”
With no place to hide, players must try “to survive a cursed night and get as much gold as possible for the next survivor–before Death puts an end to their struggles. Mow down thousands of night creatures and survive until dawn.”
