Horror Film ‘Room 428’ In The Works From Screen Gems

What waits behind the door of Room 428?

Room 428–a new horror film from Screen Gems–has landed its writing and directing team, according to a report on Deadline.

Brett and Drew Pierce (The Wretched) are working on the film, with Scott Derrickson (Sinister), screenwriter C. Robert Cargill (The Black Phone) and Sherryl Clark producing for Crooked Highway. Scott Strauss and Giselle Johnson are overseeing the film for Screen Gems.

The Pierce Brothers have a strong genre background, having helmed The Wretched–a 2020 sleeper hit for IFC Midnight–and the zombie cult film Deadheads.

Little else is known about Room 428 at this early juncture–with the plot being kept secret and no details on casting, production schedules or a release window available.
